Super Bowl Of Street Legal Drag Racing IV Gaining Steam

The Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing IV, which will be held at incredible Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL the weekend of July 16-19, is gaining steam and promises to be one of the biggest muscle car events of the year. The 4th stop of the NMCA Edelbrock Series and the NMRA Keystone Automotive Series, the Super Bowl will feature NMRA and NMCA at the same track the same weekend! Aside from the awesome heads-up and wheels-up drag racing you will also see two giant auto shows - NMCA & NMRA, Elaine Larsen in her 300 mph Embry-Riddle jet dragster, a huge manufacturers' midway and swap meet and a special gathering of NLOC and NHTOC trucks. This will also be one of the media events of the year so race, show or spectate..you won't want to miss the BIG one.

The 4th Annual Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing will be bigger and better than ever for 2009. This special event will once again take place at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill., the weekend of July 16-19 and will feature all the cars and all the stars of the NMCA Edelbrock series and the NMRA Keystone Automotive series. Come see NMCA stars like Vinny Budano, Spiro Pappas, Jim Blair and Dan Millen go wheels-up with NMRA stars like Mike Murillo, John Urist, Bob Kurgan, Dan Rawls, and Robbie Blankenship. New for 2009...Team NMCA vs. Team NMRA in the Nitto Tire Race for the Rings on Sunday. Winner take all! Yes, that's right, if Team NMCA wins then every NMCA finalist will get a Nitto Tire Diamond Tree champions ring!
Also new for '09...the National Lightning Owners Club and the National Harley Truck Owners Club will host their annual get-together at the NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl event. Dwight Dolliver with NLOC estimates Route 66 Raceway will see 60+ Ford Lightning and Harley trucks traveling from all over the U.S. to participate in this special event. You don't have to be an NLOC or NHTOC member to participate and you can race or show your truck.

GM High-Tech Performance 2010 Camaro Shootout Announced

Despite the challenging times in Detroit, the NMCA and Scoggin-Dickey, GM Performance Parts' host dealer for the '09 LSX Shootout, have have guaranteed that all purses and bonus prizes are ready and waiting to be awarded at the event which will take place at Memphis Motorsports Park (TN) the weekend of Oct. 15-18, 2009. The NMCA expects the event to be even larger than the previous two years. GM Performance Parts will have a major presence with their custom rig at the LSX Shootout and their host dealer, Scoggin-Dickey, will be at the show in force! GM High-Tech Performance magazine has just announced a special heads-up Shootout for Chevy's newest hot rod. The GM High-Tech Performance 2010 Camaro Shootout will take the top-8 competitors from Saturday's LSX True Street Challenge and race them heads-up in a Sunday bonus race where the winner will receive an LSX block, courtesy of Scoggin-Dickey, and color feature in GM High-Tech Performance magazine!

JE Pistons to Sponsor LSX Drag Radial and ProCharger to Sponsor LSX Dyno Shootout

The 3rd Annual GM Performance Parts LSX Shootout will once again feature all the cars and all the stars of the hugely popular LS performance segment. This special event, which will take place at the NMCA World Finals at Memphis Motorsport Park in Momphis, TN, Oct. 15-18, 2009, will attract some of the fastest LS-powered race cars on the planet.
JE Pistons has just signed-on to sponsor LSX Drag Radial, the Shootout's top class. JE Pistons are used by some of the fastest LS racers in the U.S. to help them produce the horsepower needed to put their cars in the winners circle. JE Pistons' drag radial competitors run high seven and low eight-second turbocharged, supercharged, and nitrous-assisted combinations capable of over 2,000 horsepower.
ProCharger, long known for supercharging some of the fastest race cars in the U.S. including Mark Micke and John Urist, will be sponsoring the LSX Dyno Shootout. $1,000 in cash and a $500 ProCharger gift certificate are up for grabs to the competitor who can make the most horsepower on the dyno!
